Next, we’ll head to Gramvousa Island to check out the shipwreck and the Venetian Fortress built in 1579 to defend against Ottoman Corsairs. You can climb to the top for an amazing view. To avoid the crowds from large cruise ships, our experienced skipper can take you to quieter private beaches in the area of Balos. On our way back to Falasarna, enjoy the stunning views of the north-western Crete coastline while listening to your favorite music on board.

DEPARTURE & RETURN LOCATION
Option 1: The boat departs and returns to the exact location in Falasarna Port: Limani Phalasarna
Option 2:The boat departs from Falasarna and returns to Kissamos Port. In this option, we will provide transportation back to Falasarna.
However, if you are not staying near the Falasarna area or have a car and are okay with driving, we suggest Kissamos Port as a departure point for your private trip to Balos and Gramvousa.

If your group is larger than our maximum boat capacity, we can arrange a second boat to accommodate your group. The boats sail and tie together, so the group does not split. While docked, you can go from one vessel to the other. Ask us about the alternative options.
Our company does not offer transportation services. However, we can arrange a one-way or round-trip taxi/minivan service for your transfer to and from the departure point at an additional cost.

Approximately 25 minutes on an average cruising speed of 22-24 knots.
According to Greek port authority regulations, the boat can anchor 50-60 meters away from Balos beach. It is not allowed to go closer due to swimmers in the area. However, the water is shallow (1.5-2m), and you can easily swim to the beach. If you want to stay dry, ask our friendly skipper to take you to the dock. From there you will have to walk to the beach.

Approximately 2 hours. If you are not interested in climbing up to the Fortress, you can stay on the boat, relax and sunbathe, or go to the beach and explore the island. Otherwise, you can snorkel at the famous Gramvousa shipwreck.

Yes, you can. You can inform us when you book or inform your skipper the day of the trip before departure. In this case, you can stay up to 5 hours in Balos Lagoon.
This trip is ideal for those staying near Falasarna beach or who have chosen to visit Falasarna by car and want to explore Balos and Gramvousa on the same day without driving to Kissamos Port.
Another case to go from Falasarna to Balos is when there are strong winds from the east. The northwest side of Crete is protected from easterly winds, so the sea will be calm during the cruise to Balos and Gramvousa.
Between June 15 and September 10, bring your Beachwear, Towels, Sunscreen Hat, and Hiking shoes (if you want to visit the Fortress of Gramvousa). Remember to bring a wind jacket if you book a trip earlier than June 15. The average (low-high) temperature in the Summer (June -August) in Crete is 20-33 degrees, usually without clouds.
For the months of April, May, June (1st half), September (second half), and October, the average temperature may vary between 18-28 degrees. Bring a long-sleeved shirt or a wind -jacket in case of cloudy weather, rain, or later return to the Port.
Yes, you can. If the boat is available, you can ask your friendly skipper to extend your boat tour at an additional cost.
All pets are allowed on board under your supervision.
- In the chance of inconvenient weather conditions, there will be the following options:
- SEAze The Day will postpone the date.
- Change the departure and return point accordingly upon arrangement with the guest.
- If none of the two options above are feasible for the client, SEAze The Day shall refund the deposit amount.
- In the event of cancellation more than 10 days before the date of the boat trip, the guest shall receive the 50% of the deposit.
- In the event of notifying us about the cancellation less than 10 days before the date of the boat trip, SEAze The Day shall keep the entire deposit.
We require a 20% deposit for a booking. The remaining balance is paid upon arrival at the Port before departing.

All our boats have portable fire extinguishers, a first aid kit, flares, a floating anchor, a spare boat engine or two main engines, a depth sounder, and a geodetic tracking system (GPS tracker). Also, our staff is highly trained in emergencies, following a specific safety protocol
